While color is a critical ingredient to any product that you are developing, there are many other things that need to be considered.
In a world filled with competition it is important to become a keen observer of the larger picture so that you can maintain a competitive edge.
We call this moment in time "The Creative Age", an occasion to think outside the box and allow a different thought process to take hold.
See how the intertwining of topics like identifying who we are, creating personal space, the connection with ourselves and others and our playful amusement can all lead to the creation of relevant products.
Topic#2. Color Trend for Winter 2007/08 2007/08秋冬流行顏色展望
Entitled "Metamorphosis" the PANTONE View Colour Planner for Fall/Winter 2007/08 emphasizes a season of change, transformation, mutation and shift. And while there are no rules to follow in the traditional sense designers can look for that breath of fresh air without being afraid that they've missed something. For next year it's about creating fresh concepts and fresh solutions by taking a fresh approach.
As we've observed a calming down of color over the last few seasons the same still holds true for Winter 2007. While the fashion industry has moved away from strong multi color usage the environments that surround us are taking an opposite approach. The search for the perfect balance between fun and escapism along with simplicity and moderation is always a challenge but color is the one element that can help to provide that steadiness between the two.
For next year we showcase eight palettes; each with a sense of independence from each other but all having elements that cross over and work in a melodious manner.
The palettes are named as Dark Shadows, Normalism, Natural Poetry, Integrated, Innocence, Chameleon, Unexpected, Caprice.
